Hildegard Neil

Hildegard has  enjoyed a successful and varied career in theatre, film and television. She recently performed the role of ‘Miss Graves’ in Enchanted April at The Mill at Sonning. Prior to this she performed as ‘Aunt Lydia’ in THE HOLLY AND THE IVY for New Theatre in Cardiff.

Her recent Television roles include ‘Mrs Florence Pennel’ in ABOVE SUSPICION ( Red Dahlia ) for La Plante, and ‘The Marchioness of Telford’ in HOTEL BABYLON for the BBC.

In Theatre, ‘Miss Carrie’ in Tennesse William’s VIEUX CARRE at Charing Cross Theatre, ‘Mrs Jamieson’ in a UK tour of CRANFORD, ‘Madam Arcati’ in a short tour of BLITHE SPIRIT  and ‘Mrs Violet Venable’ in SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER at Theatre Clwyd.

Her other theatre roles include a season at the RSC, ‘Gertrude ‘ in HAMLET, ‘Eleanor of Aquitane’ in THE LION IN WINTER and ‘The Abbess’ in COMEDY OF ERRORS at Stafford.

On television includes the female lead in two series – THE BOY DOMINIC and DIAMONDS and she played ‘Cleopatra’ opposite Charlton Heston in his own film of Shakespeare’s ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA.
